Counselling

I'm mainly "Person Centred". This means that I believe that the other person has within them the capacity to overcome their difficulties, to change and to grow, given a safe place to explore those issues and work out their solutions.

I use CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Counselling) - especially in anxiety, stress, phobias, panic, post-traumatic stress disorders and depression. This focuses on discovering the negative thoughts that trigger the feelings and begins to work on changing them. I also use breathing and deep relaxation techniques (but not hypnosis) in stress related conditions.

Spirituality is an area that is important to me and some people come to explore this.
