I have worked as a counsellor since 1989 and am a BACP Accredited Member. (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework.
My approach is Integrative and draws from Person Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Psychodynamic theory.
I use creative approaches in my counselling.
Previously I trained and practiced as a general nurse, I managed mental health resources for Hertfordshire Social Services and 2 mental health charities linked to Mind.
I retired in 2010 after 9 years as Director of Listening Post - a large professional Counselling Service in Gloucestershire. I previously managed a counselling service in Buckinghamshire for 3 years.
